University of Basra organizes a course on Quranic thought

The Central Library at the University of Basra organized a course entitled "In the Realm of the Holy Quran."

The course aimed to introduce the characteristics of scientific thinking in the Quran and the unique nature of Quranic thought, which combines scientific, philosophical, and spiritual thinking. It also aimed to familiarize participants with these concepts, which have a scientific dimension, within the framework of ethical integration. Furthermore, the course presented the concept of deviation, its nature, and its effects on the text.The course, presented by faculty members from the College of Arts and Imam Al-Kadhim University College, included a review of Quranic verses related to scientific thinking. It connected Quranic thought to the mechanisms of modern scientific thinking and emphasized the comprehensiveness and precision of Quranic thought. The course also addressed ethical conduct in the Quran, specifically the struggle against the lower self through self-reflection and awareness of shortcomings, encouraging the pursuit of perfection and avoiding actions that deviate from ethical conduct. Finally, it explored the concept of deviation and its applications in Quranic verses.
