Following his assumption of office, Dr. Majid Abdulhamid Al-Kaabi, Secretary General of the Central Library, held a meeting with unit and department heads, in the presence of administrative staff, to review current operations and discuss key needs and challenges facing the library's performance.

The meeting included a review of administrative, logistical, and technical aspects, a discussion of obstacles facing departments and divisions, and an assessment of their needs for electrical equipment, computers, and internet access, all aimed at creating a suitable work environment and supporting smooth operations.

During the meeting, the Secretary General emphasized the importance of teamwork, strengthening cooperation between units and divisions, expediting the resolution of administrative and technical problems, and developing appropriate solutions to improve the work environment and enhance the level of services provided by the library to university staff, researchers, and students.

This meeting is part of the Central Library's General Secretariat's efforts to enhance institutional performance and develop infrastructure and services, in line with the University of Basra's vision of improving the quality of academic and administrative services.
