The Central Library at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the College of Law, organized a training course entitled "Fundamentals of Library and Information Center Work." The course aimed to develop the skills of participants and raise their professional competence among the staff of the College of Law Library, keeping pace with modern developments in the field of libraries and information centers, and improving the quality of services provided to users.
The course, presented by instructors Samer Sabah Majeed and Ali Muhair Karim from the College of Arts, covered the theoretical and practical aspects of the fundamentals of library and information center work, including organizing library collections, methods of providing information services, and modern library work mechanisms. The five-day course witnessed excellent interaction from the participants, who learned about the latest practices in the field of library and information science. This course comes as part of the Central Library's commitment to implementing specialized training programs.
