The Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Ahmed Razzaq Al-Fartousi, held a preparatory meeting with the Director of the Center for Persian Language Studies and Education, Dr. Maitham Mohammed Saadoun, to organize the international book fair scheduled to be held at the Central Library. During the meeting, a joint action plan was developed to explore avenues of cooperation with Iraqi and Iranian publishing houses, as well as with Lebanese publishing houses.The importance of this international book fair lies in providing students and researchers at the University of Basra with the latest scientific and academic publications, enhancing knowledge resources, supporting scientific research, and strengthening communication between the university and Arab and regional publishing houses.
